LA area electrician?

Hey guys, don't know if this is the right place to post this, but wondering if anyone has recommendations for an LA area electrician to come check out my home studio.

Living in a condo, building is probably 30 or 40 years old, dealing with a lot of hum in my gear. 120 hz hum buildup across multiple microphones/cables, bad guitar amp hum and intermittent crackling even with humbuckers.

I've tried unplugging everything, testing one at a time, changing direction/location, still getting the noise/hum. Had HEINOUS guitar amp hum when I first moved in even with it being the only thing plugged in. Removed dimmers and that mitigated the issue a bit, but still at an unacceptable level.

Anyway, I'm thinking it's time to have an electrician come out, check the wiring, test voltages, see if I can get my studio set up on an isolated circuit, something. I'm at wit's end on my own here and figure it's time to bring in an actual pro. Would love recommendations if any of you have worked with someone who could sort out electrical issues for audio.

Thanks very much!

  • I think any good bar with live music can suggest a specialist.

It is a pity that branches of companies providing electrical services are not intercontinental. I could recommend some great guys, but they are in Australia, lol. I have a music studio and often travel the world on business. I was helping a friend set up the sound in his studio in Melbourne, and I totally understand what you mean about the heinous guitar amp hum. We had to call an electrician to fix the problem. I've never seen such quality service anywhere else as https://www.propointelectrical.com.au/serviced-areas/cheltenham/ . If you are in Australia, you know who to look for :)
